Aims and Objectives: To determine the relationship between alpha angle intercondylar notch width measurements ACL tears.Materials Methods: A total of 100 subjects were included in this study. Patient’s with injury grouped as cases (torn group) those without ligament controls (intact group).Controls age sex matched that cases.Type study: Prospective StudyPlace Department radiodiagnosis, Kamineni institute medical sciences, NarketpallySample size: 100Duration 1ST October 2021-30 September 2022(12 Months)Results: present Mean study subject’s was 34 years. alph among intact group 44° mean torn 51°. distance 22 mm 15 mm.Conclusions: Higher narrow patients are more prone to tears.

MUSCULOSKELETAL IMAGING Mean Intercondylar Notch Width Index in Cases With and Without Anterior Cruciate Ligament Tears
Background/Objective: It has been proposed that a narrow intercondylar notch may increase the risk of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury but the data are conflicting. We performed this cross-sectional study to investigate if a narrow intercondylar notch width is a risk factor for ACL tears. Patients and Methods: All adult patients with knee problems, who were referred to the MRI department...

Objective: To compare intercondylar notch width index and reverse notch width index in cases with and without anterior cruciate ligament tears. Patients and methods: 33 patients with a positive lachman’s test and pivot shift and a complete ACL tear on MRI were taken as cases. 33 patients with knee pain but a negative Lachman’s test and pivot shift and no ACL tear on MRI were taken as controls. ...

The principal purpose of this prospective study was to examine intercondylar notch size and the value of inner angle of lateral femoral condyle as the risk factors for noncontact anterior cruciate ligament ACL injury and than to correlate them to the physical values of the athletes such as body mass index (BMI), hight, wight, etc. There are indentified two type of risk factors, external include...
